Offensive Athlete of the Week

Name: Samantha Landrum
School: California Lutheran
Year: Sophomore
Position: Opposite Hitter
Hometown: Fair Oaks, Calif.

Samantha Landrum of California Lutheran helped the Regals to a 3-0 week that featured a 3-1 win over Pomona-Pitzer, and 3-0 sweeps of Occidental and Redlands. Landrum hit .456 for the week, totaling 37 kills with a 3.70 kills per set average. She also added six digs and delivered 12 total blocks, averaging 1.20 blocks per set as the Regals clinched the third seed in the upcoming SCIAC Postseason Tournament.

Name: Cat Helgeson
School: Chapman
Year: First-year
Position: Defensive Specialist/Libero
Hometown: Portland, Ore. 

Cat Helgeson helped lead Chapman to a 2-0 week in SCIAC play as the Panthers defeated Caltech and Pomona-Pitzer by scores of 3-0 in each contest. Helgeson logged 26 digs against the Beavers and 21 against the Sagehens (47 total) for an impressive 7.83 digs per set average. She also served up a pair of aces to help Chapman clinch the second seed in the upcoming SCIAC Postseason Tournament.
