Offensive Athlete of the Week

Name: Alex Preston
School: Pomona-Pitzer
Year: Junior
Position: Forward
Hometown: Darien, Conn.

Alex Preston helped guide Pomona-Pitzer to a 2-0 week that saw the Sagehens down Pacific (Ore.), 117-95 and Lewis & Clark, 92-72. Preston averaged 31.0 points per game during the week, scoring a school-record 42 points in the win over Pacific. He was 26-of-38 shooting from the floor (68.4%) and averaged 10.5 rebounds per game finishing with 21 boards during the two-game stretch. 

Defensive Athlete of the Week

Name: Chandler White
School: Chapman
Year: Junior
Position: Power Forward
Hometown: Trabuco Canyon, Calif.

Chandler White helped pace Chapman to a pair of wins including a 79-40 win over Maine-Presque Isle and a 59-39 win over Dallas. White was terrific in the paint for the Panthers, pulling down 18 rebounds with 16 coming on the defensive glass. He also added a blocked shot in the win over Maine-Presque Isle and a steal in the win over Dallas. Additionally, he scored 25 points (12.5 per game) and dished out three assists.
