Staples hit .564 and earned a spot on the All-Tournament team, as CMS swept each of its three matches at the Pacific Coast Classic. For the week, she had 24 kills on 39 attempts and only two errors, including 10 kills on 16 attempts and no errors in a win over North Central. She added 10 kills on 17 attempts in a win over Westminster before capping off the week with four kills on six attempts against Lasell.

Coaston had a dominant showing at the net in the Leopards' start to the season, leading her squad with 16 blocks at the Pacific Coast Classic. She had her biggest game defensively against Southwestern, racking up 11 blocks. She also finished the week with 26 kills, including 11 against Lassel.
