Reigning singles national champion and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges career singles wins leader
Advik Mareedu has become only the second SCIAC student-athlete to be named Athlete of the Year in all four seasons of eligibility of any sport, joining men’s cross country legend
Eric Kleinsasser of Occidental College from 2008-11. The senior headlined a sweep of major individual awards for the Stags as part of the 2026 SCIAC Men’s Tennis All-Conference teams.
Mareedu also garnered the Character Award, given to a senior who best exemplifies success on the court, in the classroom and with involvement in community and school service. The senior has lost just two singles matches all season after winning 41 with an unbeaten record in Division III as a junior. Also ranked as the top doubles team in the nation alongside
Caleb Settles, Mareedu has volunteered time off the court as leader of CMS SAAC’s community service mentoring at Sycamore Elementary School and the Pomona Promise homeless meal program.
Henry Wilson joined Mareedu in receiving Newcomer of the Year recognition after an undefeated regular season in DIII play between singles courts #2-4. The rookie is ranked 10
th in the West region for singles and 14
th nationally in doubles.
Paul Settles and CMS won Coaching Staff of the Year honors for a third consecutive eason and sixth time in the 10 years the award has been presented. The Stags extended the longest active championship streak of any conference sport to 20 years, including 163 regular season and 14 tournament dual match victories.
Six Stags earned All-Conference recognition with three landing on each team, followed by three selections from Caltech and two each from Pomona-Pitzer Colleges, the University of Redlands and Chapman University. California Lutheran University and Occidental College each picked up one accolade. Caltech’s
Constantin Cedillo-Vayson de Pradenne repeated on the First Team for a third career acknowledgment while teammate
Andrew Zabelo and Chapman’s
Aram Izmirian stepped up from the Second Team. Pomona-Pitzer’s
Drew Goldman also repeated on the First Team after winning Newcomer of the Year recognition last season, as did
Warren Pham of CMS with teammates
Josh Kim and Settles repeating on the Second Team.
Gustavo Marcanth represented the Bulldogs on the All-Conference list for a third time.
