Men’s Golf Athlete of the Week
Name: Tate Evans
School: California Lutheran
Year: First-year
Course: Crossing Creeks CC
Hometown/High School: Solana Beach, Calif. / San Dieguito Acad.
 
Evans topped the individual leaderboard for California Lutheran University and led the Kingsmen to the team championship at the FST Crossing Creeks Invitational in Longview, Texas. The rookie finished 7-under par with three rounds in the 60’s including an event-best 4-under 66 for the middle round to lift CLU over host No. 23 LeTourneau University.
 
 
Women’s Golf Athlete of the Week
Name: Caroline Morris
School: California Lutheran
Year: Sophomore
Course: Crossing Creeks CC
Hometown/High School: Danville, Calif. / IMG Acad.
 
Morris tied for top medalist honors alongside teammate Anna Poulin while leading Californua Lutheran University to the team title at the FST Crossing Creeks Invitational in Longview, Texas. Both Regals finished at 11-over par to defeat, among others, host LeTourneau University’s Kinley Pessel who ranks 25th in the nation.
