Beyer and the University of Redlands cross country team opened the season hosting the annual Redlands Invitational on Saturday. The junior moved up from sixth place last season to win the individual title by more than five seconds over a pair of SCIAC rivals from Caltech, improving on last year’s 4.5-kilometer time by 36 seconds.
