CMS's Lang Wins Second National Title to Conclude NCAA Men's Swim & Dive Champs

Lucas Lang of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges won a second consecutive individual national title to conclude the NCAA Division III Men's Swimming & Diving Championship.

CMS led all SCIAC teams in 20th place with 67 points, followed by Pomona-Pitzer Colleges in 24th, Cal Lutheran in 32nd and Whittier in 37th.

The evening began with the statement swim from, who defended the 1650-yard Freestyle title by cutting more than four seconds off the what it took to win the SCIAC title and coming less than half a second off the already-owned conference reocrd. Thomas Langlois of Whittier College touched the wall at 15:29.21, finishing sixth in the nation. The consolation final of the 200 Breast featured Evan Deedy and Lincoln Hall, with ninth and 12th place finishes respectively. Casey Jacobs followed up a strong 50 Free earlier in the week with a return to finals in the 100 Free, moving up in the evening final to 12th overall.
