Gold continued mashing at the plate for No. 14 Pomona-Pitzer Colleges, which went 3-0 with a doubleheader sweep of MIT and third win over a Top-10 opponent already this season in No. 9 University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. The sophomore recorded three multi-hit games, slashing .818/.867/1.909 while hitting for the cycle against the Eagles and accumulated nine RBI with six runs scored.

School: La Verne
Year: Sophomore
Position: Reliever
Hometown / High School: Upland, Calif. / Damien
 
Ries picked up the win against No. 9 UW-La Crosse, coming on in relief with just a three-run lead after a lightning delay to nearly shut out the Eagles. The southpaw struck out seven batters, including three looking, over 5.1 innings while permitting just two hits as No. 10 University of La Verne improved to 12-1.
