Name: Max Polovinkin
School: Chapman
Year: Junior
Events: Breast/Sprints
Hometown/High School: San Jose, Calif. / Leland
 
Polovinkin dropped eight seconds to clock a 2:06.38 200-yard breaststroke in the pouring rain on Friday evening against the University of Redlands. The junior also won the 100 Breast (58.01) and led off the 200 Free Relay with a 21.02 to record three event wins in the dual meet victory.

Name: Tommy Matheis
School: Pomona-Pitzer
Year: Sophomore
Events: 3m/1m
Hometown/High School: Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif. / Tesoro
 
Matheis won on both the 3-meter (380.85) and 1m diving boards (364.80) in a quad meet at the University of La Verne. The reigning SCIAC Newcomer of the Year also showed off some swimming chops with a time of 25.56 in the 50-yard butterfly to place 11th.
