Sharma notched a pair of individual event victories and played a role in two relay wins in a dual meet against Occidental College. The junior won the 50-yard freestyle by just over half a second (24.87) and claimed the 200 Back in 2:09.90 in addition to splitting a 27.35 on the opening 50 Back leg of the 200 Medley Relay and swimming second on the 400 Free Relay.
 
Diver of the Week
Name: Ava Balanon
School: Caltech
Year: First-year
Events: 1m/3m
Hometown/High School: Vacaville, Calif. / Buckingham Collegiate Charter Acad.
 
Balanon won the 1-meter competition in a double-dual meet with California Lutheran University and the University of Redlands, scoring 312.05. The rookie also placed a close second on the 3m to defending conference champion and teammate Jana Woo, 288.35-286.45.
