Beebe Sanders ‘15 stands as a shining example of excellence both on and off the lacrosse field. Her remarkable journey with our women’s lacrosse team exemplifies leadership, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to success.
During her tenure from 2012 to 2015, Sanders left an indelible mark on the Occidental program, showcasing her expertise as a midfielder and exemplary leadership as a captain in her senior year. Her statistical achievements are nothing short of remarkable. In her final season alone, Sanders dominated the field, tallying an impressive 42 goals, 15 assists, 45 ground balls, 30 caused turnovers, and an astonishing 69 draw controls. Over the course of her career, Sanders amassed a total of 104 goals, 35 assists, 126 ground balls, 48 caused turnovers, and an incredible 243 draw controls, cementing her status as one of the program's all-time greats.
Sanders’ exceptional performance did not go unnoticed. She earned First Team All-SCIAC honors in 2013 and 2015, along with Second Team All-SCIAC recognition in 2014. Her impact extended beyond the conference level, earning her a spot on the First Team All-Region in 2015. Additionally, Sanders’ dedication to excellence extended to the classroom, earning her a place on the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Roll in both 2014 and 2015.
Sanders’ influence transcended statistics and accolades. She was a cornerstone of the team, contributing to its success on and off the field. Sanders played a pivotal role in guiding the team to the SCIAC Championship game in 2014 and securing an NCAA bid, leaving a lasting legacy of determination and resilience. She concluded her senior year as the Roy Dennis Scholar-Athlete award recipient, the highest honor bestowed by the Occidental athletic department.
Following her graduation from Occidental as a Diplomacy and World Affairs major, Sanders embarked on a successful professional journey. Currently serving as the Director of Growth and Product Marketing at Liftoff Mobile, she plays a vital role in shaping the go-to-market strategies for new products. Her leadership and strategic vision continue to drive success in her professional endeavors.
Sanders’ journey from standout student-athlete to accomplished professional exemplifies the transformative power of athletics.
