Krattiger broke out with a trio of top-three finishes at the University of La Verne Winter Invite and another three top-10 relay performances. The University of Redlands rookie recorded his first career NCAA B cut winning the 200-yard Backstroke by 2.30 seconds in 1:49.47, finished runner-up by .22 with the fastest time in the SCIAC this season in the 100 Back (49.88) and placed third just .19 behind three-time All-American
Lucas Lang in the 500 Free (4:34.28). The first-year also swam the backstroke leg of the runner-up 400 Medley Relay that was the Bulldogs’ fastest since 2012, in addition to contributing on the 400 and 800 Free Relays.
Diver of the Week
Name: Anthony Wang
School: Caltech
Year: First-year
Events: 3m/1m
Hometown/High School: San Jose, Calif. / Evergreen Valley
Wang won both the 1-meter and 3m diving competitions at the Occidental College Invitational that also included California Lutheran University. His 287.35 was tops on the 3m by 82.05 points and he won the 1m by 61.30 with a score of 272.20, in addition to swimming the anchor leg on a 200 Free Relay team.
