Offensive Athlete of the Week

Justin Edwards
School: Claremont-Mudd-Scripps
Year: Senior
Position: Running Back
Hometown/High School: East Hampton, Conn. / Kingswood Oxford
 
Edwards keyed a second-half rally for Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges as the Stags switched to a Wildcat-style offense to overcome a 17-7 deficit. Already the program’s career touchdowns leader, Edwards scored three touchdowns and set new single-season and career rushing marks with a 324-yard performance on the ground to go with a six-yard catch and 21 yards passing.
 
Defensive Athlete of the Week

Alden Kling
School: Pomona-Pitzer
Year: Sophomore
Position: Defensive End
Hometown/High School: Washington, D.C. / Maret School
 
Kling registered three sacks as Pomona-Pitzer Colleges secured hosting rights for the SCIAC Championship game with a 21-10 victory at the University of Redlands. The Sagehens held the Bulldogs below 300 yards of total offense, with Kling forcing a turnover-on-downs via sack late in the second quarter and recording the other two on third downs.
 
Special Teams Athlete of the Week

Rich Brutto
School: Claremont-Mudd-Scripps
Year: Senior
Position: Kicker
Hometown/High School: San Diego, Calif. / Saint Augustine
 
Brutto connected on all seven kicks in a 41-24 victory over California Lutheran University, including five extra points. The 2023 Second Team All-SCIAC pick hit a 45-yard field goal to tie the score early in the second half and added a 28-yarder to make it a two-possession game at 27-17 to end the third quarter.
