Offensive Athlete of the Week

Walter Kuhlenkamp
School: Claremont-Mudd-Scripps
Year: Jr.
Position: Quarterback
Hometown/High School: Greensboro, N.C. / Southeast Guilford

Kuhlenkamp tallied a career-high 319 total yards of offense to move RV Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges to 3-0 with a 49-28 win over California Lutheran University in the conference opener. He threw for 229 yards with a 72-yard touchdown pass and ran for 90 plus two more scores.

Defensive Athlete of the Week

School: Pomona-Pitzer
Year: Jr.
Position: Linebacker
Hometown/High School: Seattle, Wash. / Seattle Prep

Porter made five tackles and recorded a sack as the Pomona-Pitzer Colleges defense did not allow a single offensive score to the University of La Verne in a 34-7 victory to open conference play.

Special Teams Athlete of the Week

Evan Aguon
School: Redlands
Year: Sr.
Position: Wide Receiver/Returner
Hometown/High School: San Diego, Calif. / Mission Bay

Aguon was a dynamic presence in multiple facets of the University of Redlands’ 38-21 win at Chapman University to open conference play as he accumulated 111 all-purpose yards. He returned three punts for a total of 51 yards with a long of 25 to give the Bulldogs a key edge in field position with the game still tight in the second and third quarters, in addition to hauling in five passes for three touchdowns and two first downs.
