Friday Spotlight Series: Caroline Ordian, Redlands Golf

Caroline put together Hall of Fame records and accolades during her four years at the University of Redlands as one of the most decorated women's golfers in program history.  She began her career in 2015 and made her presence immediately known as a First-Team All-SCIAC honoree, the SCIAC Newcomer of the Year, and the SCIAC Athlete of the Year.  That same season, she was also selected as the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Freshman of the Year and a First-Team All-American.

In 2016, she repeated as the SCIAC Athlete of the Year and All-SCIAC First-Teamer while winning the SCIAC Championships Individual Title.  She went on to win the NCAA Division III National Championship Individual Title and became the WGCA Division III Player of the Year.  In addition to becoming the SCIAC Athlete of the Year for a third time, she finished her career with four First-Team All-SCIAC selections as well as First-Team All-America accolades each of her four years. 

Off the links, she was also named the Frank Serrao Female Student-Athlete of the Year in 2018 and was selected a Redlands Scholar-Athlete four times.  Over her four years, the women's golf team won a pair of SCIAC Titles and qualified for the NCAA Division III National Championships twice, where they finished sixth (2016) and eighth (2015). 

In the University of Redlands record books, Caroline is tied for the program-low score with a 64, which came during the Western New Mexico Invite back in 2015.  She also shot a number of Top-30 performances with a 69 (3x), 70 (4x), and 71 (2x).  She also sits No. 2 in Top-10 Career Round Averages with a 75.274.  During each year of her career, she put together a Top-20 single-season round average with marks of 74.14 (No. 3), 75.22 (No. 5), 75.67 (No. 8), and 75.96 (No. 9).  For the Top 20 Two-Round Totals (Single Tournament) she ranks No. 1 (136 | 64-72), No. 5 (138 | 69-69), and No. 15 (143 | 72-71, 143 | 69-74, 143 | 73-70, 143 | 70-73).  She also contributed to various top-10 Team Total Records for a single round, two rounds, and three rounds.
