Sam Sasaki will leave Pomona-Pitzer as one of the most decorated water polo athletes to come through the program after he earned All-American honors for three years, 2022 SCIAC Player of the Year, two-time SCIAC Regular Season Champion, SCIAC Tournament Champion and Division III National Champion.
Off of the field, Sasaki will graduate from Pomona College with a Degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. He has maintained a 3.83 GPA in Mathematics and 3.65 in Computer Science. He also participated in the Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP) and served as a Research Assistant in Autonomous Robotics and Complex Systems.
For his excellence in the classroom, Sasaki was named a Pomona College Scholar, Pomona-Pitzer Scholar Athlete, and most recently awarded a Postgraduate Scholarship by the NCAA.
