WeCOACH Release

WeCOACH is a nonprofit dedicated to recruiting, advancing and retaining women coaches in all sports and levels through year-round professional growth and leadership development programs.

The WCA is designed for women coaches to elevate their holistic coaching effectiveness by learning advanced leadership skills and strategies that directly affect their personal and team success. Participants focus on non-sport-specific concepts in an environment that fosters inclusion across the sports community. The NCAA Academy 2.0 is a master-learning opportunity for WCA graduates to progress on the leadership, strategies and knowledge gained from their WCA experience.

"I'm thrilled that three SCIAC coaches have been chosen and sought out such beneficial professional development programming," SCIAC Commissioner Jenn Dubow said. "All three have experienced tremendous success with their teams, not just in competition but as mentors and educators developing life-long skills in their student-athletes. They are fantastic representatives for the conference and their institutions."

"I am honored to have been selected to WeCOACH 2.0 among some of the most legendary coaches and administrators in collegiate athletics," Weintraub said. "It will be fun to attend with Jen Scanlon. We are fortunate to be members of the SCIAC where Commissioner Jenn Dubow, and Associate Commissioner Mark Becker emphasize the significance of professional development and increasing the number of women coaches. Their leadership and engagement on this type of programming are some of the qualities that make the SCIAC one of the premier conferences for women coaches, administrators and student-athletes to thrive. I look forward to networking and advancing my skills in order to better serve my student-athletes and my collegiate career."
