Friday Spotlight Series: Vikram Chatterjee, CMS Golf

Chatterjee had a big spring season to lead the CMS men's golf team to a SCIAC Championship, earning National Player of the Month honors in February from the Golf Coaches Association of America after twice taking the SCIAC Athlete of the Week honor during the month. He first earned SCIAC honors after shooting -4 at SCIAC No. 1, making him the only player in the field under par, and then won it again after carding a -5 at the Las Vegas Shootout. In April, he earned the highest finish for the Stags (tied for third) to lead CMS to a first-place finish at the SCIAC Championships, earning the Stags the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championships for the second straight season. A year ago, Chatterjee finished 30th at nationals to help the Stags earn the third-place trophy as a team.
An economics major at Claremont McKenna with a sequence in data science, Chatterjee has been involved around campus as a member of the campus improvements committee for the Associated Students of Claremont McKenna College, as a student outreach officer for the Office of Annual Giving, and as the men's golf representative on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. He served an internship with PwC this past summer in their mergers and acquisitions department, and will work as an associate for them full-time after graduation.
