Brissett had the NCAA Championship-winning point a year ago as the CMS women's tennis team picked up its second national title in program history with a 5-1 win over Chicago. Brissett helped CMS get to the finals with a 6-0, 6-0 win in the semis against Wesleyan, over a player who was the national runner-up in singles in 2019, and then provided the clincher in the championship match with a 6-4, 6-3 win. She ended her rookie season with a 24-3 singles record, leading CMS in wins, including a 20-2 mark in dual competition.

Brissett also earned ITA Scholar-Athlete and SCIAC All-Academic team honors as a biochemistry major at Claremont McKenna. She has worked as a research assistant at the W.M. Keck Science Department, while also serving as a summer program mentor for incoming students interested in pursuing science. At home in Houston, she has served as a volunteer at Houston Methodist Hopsital, and as a clinic volunteer at Casa El Buen Samaritano, which provides free medical care to the uninsured.
