The 2020 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Women's Swimming & Diving All-Conference awards were announced Tuesday, following a vote conducted by the league's head coaches during the final day of the conference championships.
Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS) sophomore Augusta Lewis was voted the SCIAC Swimmer of the Year for the second time in as many years after earning both Athlete and Newcomer of the Year honors in 2019. On day one of the 2020 SCIAC Championships, Lewis helped the Athenas' 800-yard freestyle team to a second place finish in a time of 7:33.68, before earning an individual win in the 200-yard individual medley as she set a new meet and SCIAC record of 2:02.41 in the event. Lewis again set a meet and SCIAC record on day three when she powered to a time of 4:20.98 in the 400-yard IM to shatter her previous mark of 4:23.43. Lewis later contributed to the Athenas' meet-record setting 400-yard medley relay tandem that registered a top time of 3:45.87. On the final day of competition, Lewis set a new meet record in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:16.81 before helping CMS to a second place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:27.18) to help the Athenas clinch the team title.
