SCIAC Announces the Men's Basketball All-SCIAC Teams
LOS ANGELES, CA – The Southern California
Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its All-Conference
team this afternoon. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps graduate student Chris
Blees was named the league’s most valuable player and awarded
the David Wells Player of the Year honors.
Blees led the Stags to the SCIAC Championships and a 25-2
record. He finished with over 15ppg shooting over 52% from the
field. He also grabbed 7.3rpg.
Pomona-Pitzer’s Jack Klukas was named the SCIAC’s
Newcomer of the Year. Klukas helped lead the Sagehens to the SCIAC
Postseason Tournament Final and scored 9.5ppg.
CMS' Joey Anderson was named the Ted Ducey Award recipient.
The Ducey Award is given to a SCIAC senior who best
exemplified the high ideals demonstrated by Coach Ted Ducey. The
criteria includes; ability, leadership, sportsmanship,
determination and academic pursuits.
