(JR, Two-Meter Offense - Goleta, Calif.)
The Regals water polo team took down the nation's No. 1 ranked Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens 13-12 in large part to Joy Cyprian's four goal performance. She recorded a natural hat trick scoring in the process of netting four straight CLU goals and never let the Regals trail in the second half. She also drew two exclusions, dished out an assist and grabbed a steal in the victory. To cap off the week Cyprian had a game-high three assists in the team's 8-5 road win over No. 3 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. As a junior she ranks in the top three in program history in goals scored (141 - 2nd), assists (92 - 3rd) and drawn exclusions (102 - 3rd). Cyprian needs four more goals to become the all-time leading scorer in Regals history.
