SCIAC Honors Female Athlete of the Week:  Cal Lutheran's Jill Jensen

Congratulations to California Lutheran University's Jill Jensen for being named the SCIAC Female Athlete of the Week!

CLU:  Jill Jensen, Water Polo
Jensen a junior utility player from Fircrest, WA, was named the Collegiate III National Tournament MVP after leading the Regals to their first National title in their first post-season appearance. Defensively Jensen made a difference as she has all season. She collected 26 steals during a five game span, leading CLU to an undefeated 5-0 performance in the tournament. In the championships game Jensen was a dual threat, stealing the ball seven times, scoring twice and finishing with two assists. In the first game of the weekend against CMS she tallied eight steals, a season high. She added another goal and two drawn penalties to her tournament totals. Jensen has been a team member for three of the programs' four year history.
