SCIAC Honors Female Athlete of the Week: Pomona-Pitzer's Siobahn Finicane

The sophomore went 4-0 this past weekend en route to her second consecutive SCIAC Player of the Year award. The number 3 ranked singles player in the country dispatched of CMS' top player Yassie Entekhabi, the 19th ranked player in the nation, 6-3, 6-1. She then took on the University of Redlands' top player Rachel Miller and won 6-0, 6-3 helping her team to the automatic SCIAC bid to Nationals. In doubles, she and partner Olivia Muesse went 2-0 with wins over the top CMS team (8-6), and the #20 nationally ranked Redlands dou of Whitney Waters/Paige Sumida (8-3). In singles, Finicane currently has a 15 match winning streak.
