CMS: Annie Perizzolo, Swimming
The freshman from Aurora, CO was the lone SCIAC
All-American at the NCAA Division III Championships. She
finished second in the 200 breaststroke with a SCIAC record time of
2:18.31 and finished fifth in the 100 breaststroke with the second
fastest time in SCIAC history (1:04.85). She also swam on
honorable mention All-American teams in the 400 medley relay (9th
with a SCIAC record time of 3:56.01), 200 medley relay (11th) and
800 free relay (14th). In the 200 breast, she broke her own
SCIAC record in the prelims by 2.39 seconds to qualify third and
then went 0.46 seconds faster in the final. In the 100
breast, she swam a personal best of 1:05.18 in the prelims and then
swam a lifetime best in the final. Perizzolo scored 40 on the
team's 71 points. CMS finished 14th at the Championships.
