SCIAC Honors Athletes of Week: Pomona-Pitzer's Leer, CMS' Esclamado

The SCIAC Athletes of the Week have been named and the honorees are: Pomona-Pitzer's Will Leer (men's cross country) and CMS' Nicole Esclamado (women's soccer).

Pomona-Pitzer: Will Leer, Men's Cross Country
Will Leer won the NCAA Division III Pre-National Meet on Saturday with a time of 25:22.11, almost 10 seconds faster than the second place finisher.

CMS: Nicole Esclamado, Women's Soccer
The senior from Napa scored four goals to lead the Athenas to two SCIAC victories during the week. In the team's 3-2 road win against La Verne, she recorded a hat trick, scoring three goals in the first 22 minutes. She scored the team's first goal against Whittier in the team's 4-0 home win. On the season she leads the team in scoring with six goals and two assists. CMS is 4-3-1 overall and 2-2 in SCIAC.
