SCIAC Honors Athletes of Week: Whittier's Castelo, CMS' Esclamado

The SCIAC Athletes of the Week have been named and the honorees are: Whittier's Arlo Castelo (football) and CMS' Nicole Esclamado (women's soccer).

Whittier: Arlo Castelo, Football
Castelo led the Poets' defense with 12 tackles and one forced fumble in their 28-21 overtime win against Redlands on November 4.

CMS: Nicole Esclamado, Women's Soccer
The senior from Napa helped the Athenas win the inaugural SCIAC Women's Soccer Tournament. She tied the final with her team-leading 10th goal of the season in the team's 2-1 win over host Redlands. She also converted both her penalty kicks including the deciding one in their epic 15-14 shootout against Pomona-Pitzer. In addition to leading the team in goals, she also leads in assists with five. CMS is 10-7-3 overall.
