Occidental and La Verne to meet in SCIAC Women's Basketball Final

The semi-final games of the 2009 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Post Season Tournament concluded on Thursday night with #1 seeded Occidental defeating Whittier (#4) 79-51, and the third seeded La Verne with a 50-48 win over Redlands (#2).

On Saturday evening, Feb. 28 at 5:00 p.m., the Tigers and Leopards will meet in the 2009 SCIAC Postseason Tournament Championship game at Rush Gymnasium, Oxy's home court.  The team that wins the SCIAC Postseason Tournament earns the conference's automatic bid into the 2009 NCAA Division III Post Season. 

Tickets for the event are $5 for adults, $2 for children 12 and under and senior citizens 55 and older and free to Occidental and La Verne faculty, staff and students with current ID cards. The Ticket booth will open one hour prior to tip-off.
