SCIAC Honors Female Athlete of the Week: California Lutheran's Nita Sims

The sophomore forward scored a career high 17 points off the bench and was a perfect 7-for-7 from the field in the team's 69-59 overtime win over Whittier College on Thursday.  On the road this past Saturday against the University of La Verne she sank an eight-foot jump shot as time expired to cap off a 7-0 run and give Cal Lutheran a 64-63 win and knock the Leopards out of a tie for the top spot in the conference standings.  The game-winning basket was her 100th point of the season while starting just two games this season.
