JONES NAMED D3HOOPS WEST REGION PLAYER OF THE YEAR,
WBCA HONORABLE MENTION ALL-AMERICA

La Verne basketball standout Trenecca Jones was recently named West Region Player of the Year by d3hoops.com while also garnering Honorable Mention All-America Honors by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).

A 5-10 sophomore forward from Ontario, Jones named the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Player of the Year and also earned a spot on the WBCA All-West Region Team earlier this month.  She led the SCIAC in scoring, rebounding and field goal percentage in helping propel La Verne to the 2007 conference championship and an automatic bid to the NCAA Playoffs.
