Eric Kleinsasser ran 20 seconds better at the cross country SCIAC Championships this weekend than he did last season, but the result was the same with a first place finish. The sophomore harrier finished the 8K course in a time of 25:43.47, more than 19 seconds ahead of the next closest finisher. Kleinsasser earned Runner of the Year honors for the second consecutive year and won his third meet of the season. He completed the course in the 11th fastest time in SCIAC history and the 10 runners who finished ahead of Kleinsasser on that list went on to become All-Americans.
