Alex Perry helped the Poets earn their first undefeated SCIAC
regular season since 1994 with a 16 goal week. The senior from El
Cajon, Calif., scored six goals in a 10-8 win over Claremont-M-S on
November 4 and tacked on another four goals in Whittier's SCIAC
finale against Occidental on November 7. Perry also dished out
three assists and added two steals with one drawn ejection in a
14-8 win over the Tigers. The team leader in goals notched one goal
with one drawn ejection in a 13-8 loss to Cal Baptist and scored
three goals with one assist and one drawn ejection in a 15-11 loss
to Santa Clara. He ended his week with two goals and two assists in
a 10-8 win over Chapman on November 8. For the week he totaled 16
goals, six assists, two steals and three drawn ejections.
