SCIAC Concludes Play at NCAA Tennis Singles and Doubles Competition

Chattanooga, Tenn - The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference concluded play at the NCAA men's and women's singles and doubles competition on Saturday. 

Freshman standout Nikolai Parodi from Claremont-Mudd-Scripps concluded a stellar rookie campaign falling in the singles championship match to sophomore Lubomir Cuba from Middlebury 6-1, 6-1. 

On the women's side Sarah Ikioka and Elizabeth Johnson from Redlands fell in the semifinals of the doubles 6-2, 6-2 to Eudice Chong and Victoria Yu from Wesleyan. 

Nicole Tan and Lindsay Brown from CMS defeated Bridget Harding and Katarina Su from Emory 6-4, 7-5 to advance to the finals against Chong and Yu.  Brown and Tan battled but ultimately fell 6-2, 6-3 to the team from Wesleyan. Chong also won the singles crown earlier in the day.
