SCIAC Honors Male Athlete of the Week:  Occidental's Sean Anderson

Six-foot-ten sophomore transfer Sean Anderson has made his presence felt in the paint this season. Leading the Tigers to another 2-0 week, Anderson averaged a double-double with 18.5 points per game and 11.0 rebounds per game, as the Tigers defeated Whittier (79-62) and La Verne (62-52). Against ULV he poured in a game-high 22 points while grabbing 10 boards (four offensive) and recorded three blocks in just 23 minutes of action. On Wednesday, Anderson scored 15 points on 4-for-5 shooting from the field adding a perfect 7-for-7 night at the charity stripe. He finished with 11 of the Tigers' 36 rebounds in the game as well. Overall he shot 64.7 % from the field and 83.3 % from the line during the two games while adding a pair of assists and a steal. Oxy improves to 16-2 with a 6-1 SCIAC mark.
