The sophomore catcher was a solo home run short of the home run cycle blasting a two-run, three-run and grand slam in going 4-for-5 with nine RBI in Friday's 15-3 win over Whittier. Prior to Friday's offensive outburst Michelin had only one career homer before smashing three in a single game. In the series with the Poets he finished 8-for-10 with 11 RBI and scored six times in leading the No. 17 Kingsmen to a series sweep. The weekend effort pushed his season average up 62 points to .322. Cal Lutheran finished the regular season (31-9, 17-4 SCIAC) earning a second place finish in the conference standings.
