SCIAC All-Sports Standings

Since the 1972-73 school year there has been a competition to determine the best athletics program in the conference.  With the addition of women's sports in 1976-77 the competition was expanded to three trophies, one each for the men's sports, women's sports and the program as a whole.  The scoring is done so that the winner of each sport receives 8 points and second receives 6 points, third 5 and so on down to eighth receiving 0. Schools which tie for a position will share the points for that spot and the one below it.  For example, if there is a three-way tie for first the three teams would share the points for first, second and third (8,6,5) and each receive 6.3 points.  Any school which does not sponsor a sport loses one point for that sport.
